You need at least 1 megabyte of RAM to run HyperCard successfully, and a hard disk is highly recommended, especially if you plan to deal with large bibliographies (HyperCard can search several thousand cards in a matter of seconds). It is possible to run the program with two 800K floppy drives; 
a stack of about 1500 cards occupies about 512K of disk space (depending on the amount of data on each card). However, performance will suffer.

HyperSource is most powerful when run under Switcher or Multifinder with a word processor. To do that you need 2 megabytes of RAM.
